RAINCHECK FOR YOUR CAR

Monsoon has arrived. It is vital to protect the paintjob as well as the underbody that is most prone to humidity. Rust can be extremely damaging and therefore it is best to get a clear coat for your car, that also protect your car from more scratches. Besides this, an underbody coating or an antirust coating for rust proofing your car is also extremely important and most car dealers offer this service.
Also a waxing and polishing job just before rains set in is a good idea as it helps in retaining the luster of the car paint as well as allowing the droplets to slide away.
Next, ensure that your car’s electrical wiring is intact and exposed wires should not be left open. They must be properly insulated.
It is important to make sure that your car doesn’t have balding tyres because worn out witch treads means chances of your car skidding are high. Also, check the tyre pressure and keep it on recommended level to avoid skidding. It is important that all the mud flaps are present and in good condition. If not then replace them immediately.
The windscreen wipers should be in functioning condition. It is best to replace wipers every year. Check all lights to make sure that they are working including signal indicators and reverse lamps.
In case of condensation on the windscreen or rear glass, from the inside, which usually occurs on accounts of the air conditioner not being switched on, turn on the A.C. immediately to make the condensation disappear. If condensation occurs from outside, it is best to switch on wipers in order to clear the windscreen. Keep the windscreen washer fluid container topped up always. The engine must be well serviced and take care to ensure that no water enters it.
Getting new brake calipers is also wise thing to do. Use rubber mats in the car instead of fabric mats. Be cautious while driving and maintain twice the distance you normally do in case of accidents caused by skidding during heavy rains.
